At the weekend I had the pleasure of joining the GBR sailing team at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy in Dorset.
It was an amazing day and the team were working hard in preparation for the 2012 Olympics.






This collaborative slide show with Journalist Jina Moore was a commissioned by the global post to commemorate the anniversary of Rwanda’s 1994 Genocide.

Recently an image I took of children in prison was selected for the Taylor Wessing Portrait prize exhibition, African prisons have been a subject I can’t seem to keep away from, and I thought it was about time these images got their own post. A strange specialization for me has been creating super macro images of diamonds, photographing these precious stones was harder than I thought it would be!
The magnification need is beyond normal macro capabilities so a bellows has to be used, making lighting very tricky, then the color correction has to be very accurate.
It’s strange for me to drop in to a diamond shop on Hatton Garden and encounter the retail environment for these valuable commodities, In the past few years I’ve spent time in the Demoractic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and have witnessed the full horror of the environment that surrounds the parts of the world where they are extracted.
They have a strange weight,



During the cold spell we managed to get out to Welney Marsh to witness the ancient tradition of fen skating, due to the exceptionally cold weather skating is commencing earlier than in living memory.
